Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How do we start the process of hiring you to film our wedding?
We are honored and grateful that you have chosen us to capture your memories forever for such an important day in your lives. First we will need to check if we are available during the day of your wedding. Availability changes on a daily basis and is subject to change without notice. Next, we will set a date for us to meet so that we can both get to know each other, talk about your wedding day and ask me any questions you want. Finally, we will sign a wedding contract form and we request a 30% reservation fee to book your wedding date. The final payment is due at the day of the wedding.
  2. Do you have travel fees?
We love to travel and charge minimal fees for coverage outside the city of Seattle. Travel for wedding coverage and engagement sessions will be charged 1$ per mile round trip from the GoProductions home base in Seattle to the location of the wedding or engagement session. For destination weddings, we would love to cover it! If you decide to hire us, let's set up a plan in order for us to get to the destination and arrange accommodations.
  3. Can we do a payment plan?
Yes! We can arrange for a payment plan as long as the final payment is paid at the day of your wedding. We accept cash, checks, Venmo and Bank of America app transfers.
  4. May I pick the music for the Highlight film and Feature film?
Of course! This is your wedding film and I encourage couples to have a say in what music goes into the final product.
  5. How do you record our audio?
We use three types of audio recording devices to ensure your audio is recorded to the highest quality. First we use "boom" mics that we attach to our cameras. Second we use tiny microphones called "lavaliers" to connect to the groom. Third, we use a professional grade audio recorder that we can connect to the dj mixer in order to record all of the sounds going into the dj microphone.
  6. When should we start filming?
We would recommend filming 2 hours prior to the ceremony to film the preparation of the bride and groom, drone footage, details, rings, beautiful dress hanging, jewelry, hair and makeup. This ensures great content for your film.
  7. Who edits our wedding films?
All of our wedding films are edited in house and we strictly do not outsource our work. This ensures the highest quality that you can expect and it retains the brand and style that we take pride in. Most of the work for your wedding film is done after the wedding. Once we start editing your video, approximately forty hours of editing will go into a finished product. Editing wedding videos is a very creative process which is almost like writing a book. Sometimes we can get editors block as well. The final delivery of your wedding film will vary between 2 to 3 months depending on the month of the season. This guarantees that the quality of your film will match that of your expectations and ours. We take pride in delivering quality films.
