🍂 I had the pleasure of photographing Camille and Caleb’s engagement session, which turned out to be an adventure of its own! We initially met at the beautiful Bellevue Botanical Garden, a serene and lush setting ideal for capturing those early moments of love. However, the Pacific Northwest weather had other plans that day. As we started shooting, the rain came down fast, making it impossible to continue. But Camille and Caleb were such great sports about it, and we decided to reschedule.
Â
A few weeks later, we had a completely different vibe. We met at Lincoln Park in West Seattle, and the weather was just perfect. It was sunny and warm, with the kind of golden light that every photographer dreams of. Lincoln Park, with its forested trails and stunning waterfront views, provided the ideal backdrop for a romantic engagement session. The energy was light, and Camille and Caleb's joy and laughter were contagious. I especially loved how relaxed they were, making the session feel like we were just friends hanging out and having a good time.
Â
It turns out that Camille and Caleb’s story has a lot of layers. They met while attending ceramics class together at Everett Community College—how cool is that? Caleb, a former photography major, took ceramics because he needed an art class for his degree and had an awesome professor from a previous class. Though Caleb has since moved on from photography (he says he wasn’t great at directing folks for photo shoots), his creativity and passion for learning continue to shine through in his current hobbies, like playing disc golf, video games, and exploring the world of coffee roasting. Caleb's quirky sense of humor, with a love for anything by Weird Al, adds to his unique and fun personality.
Â
I also learned that Camille and Caleb are planning a garden party-themed wedding with soft and romantic vibes, which fits them so well. Their venue, The Hitching Post, has a cozy charm with a bridal suite in the basement of the house and a detached tiny house for the groom’s suite. With around 115 guests, the wedding will be an intimate gathering where board games will take center stage as entertainment, since their families aren’t much into dancing but are highly competitive when it comes to games. I love the creativity they’re bringing to their wedding day, and I’m excited to capture that energy!
Â
I’m especially thrilled that the venue is interested in featuring some of the photos, as they are still establishing themselves. I’ll be sharing the images with them at: The Hitching Post Weddings and on their Facebook page. It’s always fun to work with venues looking to build their portfolio, and it’s an honor that they want to showcase our session!

Overall, I couldn’t be happier with how Camille and Caleb’s engagement session turned out. Sometimes, the weather forces you to adapt, and this time it worked in our favor. The sunny day at Lincoln Park provided the perfect setting to capture the love between these two, and I can’t wait for their garden party wedding!
